Vermont Lifestyle & The Vermont Marble Museum

VermontLifestyle.com

Every marble item in this site is produced from marble quarried in Vermont, making them a perfect and unique gift for Vermont lovers, or a gift from a Vermonter!

Our sparkling white Vermont Danby marble is quarried in the largest underground quarry in the world, in Danby, Vermont. This marble, now produced into gifts for you, has been used in landmarks including the Jefferson Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery and the Lincoln Memorial.

The Vermont Verde Antique, quarried in Rochester, Vermont is a beautiful dark green marble with striking white veining. This marble is geologically a serpentine (a relative of Jade), and is extremely hard. Many of our gifts are available in a choice of Vermont Danby or Verde Antique.

The Museum

The Vermont Marble Museum itself is located in central Vermont, in Proctor, about 5 miles west of Rutland. The museum and gift shop are open 7 days a week, from May until the end of October.
